When travelling from San Jose, follow the Pan.-American highway to Canas for approximately 160km. When you reach Canas, turn towards Tilaran. Once you reach Tilaran, turn at the first opportunity in the direction of Arenal. After approximately 20 minutes you will reach the small town of Rio Piedras (Guadalajara). Turn left, right next to a wonderful painted Saloon, follow the sign, and travel uphill for approxmately 1km till you reach a blue painted water tank. Exactly there you have to turn right.
